Petty bickerings...

The other day two of my cousins had a quarrel on a damn petty issue(sorry can't mention the issue or the names). But haven't you encountered yourself in such situations where -in, U end up having an argument with the other person just to prove that you are not a dunce and want to have an upper hand over the other. And the result as usaully will be that the two parties shun each other and tension prevails when ever they come across each other. Then they regret their deeds internally but the damn EGO comes in middle and they hestitate to accept their faults before other person. So frnds just be cool and keep silent in those circumsatnces in future. Being silent doesn't mean that U r inferior in any way, but instead U will be thrilled to note how U could control ur emontions in tht moment.Just think over it....

I believe that u need to be involved in some filthy fights once in a while as it will allow your ego to stay alive. In the contemporary world ones ego is his strength. One needs to maintain an upper hand else he/she will be left with ashes. I feel we should try to get involved in these but at the same time try to be diplomatic. I would personally like to salute the person who has coined the term diplomacy.

Thats a good point abhi. Actually real courage lies (in such situations)not in shouting back but in being silent and controlling our emotions. It actually requires a lot of courage to control our emotions than to let it out.

I feel diplomacy is cowardness.....word coined to escape from responsibilities , duties , taking right decisions. The actual diplomacy as regards to politics , means to be right minded, correct and in the interest of protecting the nation. But diplomacy in things like this , I do not think so.. I might be wrong....

MBA is about taking decisions , if you are diplomat you are a good "politician".

Abhi,
some quarrels seem to the third person as a silly thing. But the people who gets involved in the quarrel knows what is the main reason in that quarrel.
In some situations, both seems to be right on their part.
In such situations,It is ideally possible to stay calm but practically difficult.
But 1 thing is for sure, the quarrel doesn't last long and let's hope u'r cousines become friends once again.

Pradeep.

Wonderful point for discussion ra abhishek. I did experience the pain for letting out my emotions when the best I could have done was to keep quite. I have very recently come across a very powerful statement. There are three sides for an argument. Your side, the opposite person's side and the correct side.

my perspective- its all about the people involved in the argument.its about how you want your relationship with them to b like. if u want trust to rule, i feel speaking ur heart out is teh best way to go abt it. i usually stay calm in such situations but regret afterwards for staying calm....i have always felt, its good for every1 to let out the negative feelings than to bottle them up until u burst under pressure. once in a while u SHUD let out ur feelings... it really helps in easing out tension and brings in more trust and harmony between people.. its always to let others know what you actually feel... if they r understand you tehy wud else, ther is no point in being nice to people who don care for you.. OO looks like this comment is longer thn teh blog :-P

nee yabba arey, ekkada padithe mba antav endi ra. nee thokkaloni decision making. MBA...Management and Business Administration. Not Decision making. Manage your resources not dry them up. Manage your ego but at the same time do not finish of your relationship with your opponents. Opponents and critics are the most important part of life. MBA needs to be a politician more than a decision maker. He needs to listen to the views of his team and not decide himself. To listen to his team and consider all the options and then decide. He needs to make his board understand his decision and convince them. Blend them according to his advantage.

Remember diplomacy is not cowardness..it is a strategy. When u can handle it u will be a shrewd person. Diplomacy is not a word that is only for politicians. Our mythology itself teaches us diplomacy. Everywhere u will find diplomacy and people when they find a person using diplomacy they just say it is all politics. First understand what diplomacy is all about and what politics is.

MBA is different from diplomacy.. If itsn't so then why not call it MDA. Master of Diplomacy and Administration. If you prefer diplomacy always....well cool go ahead with it....without ever being taking the side of that has to be taken....but keep listening to things......

There is a but in you own statement. Being hypocrtical? MDA...Master of Diplomacy and Administration. Administration...What is meant by that? According to you it must be Master of Business Decisions. Go and complain it to the people who have coined the course.

MDA is what you asked and sought for....Sill MBA involves a great deal of making decisions...not making diplomatic statements

I'm not talking about making diplomatic statements, I am talking about using strategies. Administration is what I'm talking about. Dude in your MBA just get the administration removed.

Hey Abhi your article itself has started bickerings man. Hope you dont write such articles again.

Well......bickerings are good as long as they are not taken to heart or for the gainment of personal egos....Thats what is the topic is ...we have digressed from the main issue.....My feeling.if you feel that someone is crossing the limit just let them know about your feeling straight forward so that there will be no misunderstandings...well vikuba.as you've guessed I LIKE DEBATES.... ;)

So abhi this is how I guess one must come out of bickerings and try not to hurt the others personally.

Bickerings may become serios if there is diversion from the main topic. Just debate over the issue and end it there itself.
